Quartz and Granite Countertops in Oakville

Big Oakville islands call for careful slab selection, matching veining, sizing for a one-piece run, or detailing a waterfall edge. We handle the mitered edges and book-matched slabs from our Mississauga shop, about twenty-five minutes east along the QEW, keeping that detail work close instead of leaving it to chance.

Locally Fabricated

Quartz Countertops for Oakville Kitchens

Quartz has taken over the higher end of the Oakville renovation market for a practical reason. The look most people want right now is soft marble veining on a pale ground, and engineered quartz delivers that look without the maintenance that real marble demands in a kitchen where kids do homework and someone opens wine on a Tuesday.

We stock Caesarstone, Silestone, Vicostone, Lucent and K-Stone. Most Oakville projects land in the premium marble-look lines, and several are produced in slab sizes large enough to run a full island without a seam. Ask about jumbo slabs at the consultation, because you have to decide before fabrication, not after.

Book-matching is worth raising too. Two consecutive slabs from the same block can be opened like a book so the veining mirrors across an island and a backsplash. It requires buying both slabs and planning the cuts together, and it is one of the details that separates a kitchen that looks expensive from one that looks like it cost the same but does not.

Engineered Stone

Granite Countertops for Oakville Homes

The traditional side of Oakville still calls for granite, and it should. Homes in Old Oakville and along the lake south of Lakeshore carry heavier millwork, deeper cabinet detailing and often a formal dining layout. Natural stone with real depth in it sits properly in those rooms in a way that a flat engineered white does not.

Granite also earns its place in the 1980s and 90s builds through Glen Abbey, River Oaks and Falgarwood that are hitting renovation age now. Many of those kitchens have oak cabinetry in good structural shape. Refacing the doors and setting a natural granite top on them is a substantially smaller project than a full tear-out, and the result does not look like a compromise.

You will need to seal granite roughly once a year. It takes about ten minutes, and we show you the process on installation day.

Natural Stone

Bathroom Vanities, Powder Rooms and Ensuites

Oakville projects rarely stop at the kitchen. A typical order includes a primary ensuite double vanity, a powder room top and one or two secondary bathrooms. Ordering them together is the right move, because remnant material from the kitchen slab often covers a vanity at a better price than buying separately, and it keeps the stone consistent from floor to floor.

We also fabricate bar tops, servery counters, fireplace surrounds and outdoor kitchen tops in materials rated for freeze and thaw.

FROM FIRST CALL TO FINAL SEAM

How an Oakville Countertop Project Works

STEP 01

FREE CONSULTATION

Send us your kitchen drawings or your designer’s plan, and we will price it properly. If you are earlier than that, a rough sketch with dimensions is enough to start.

STEP 02

Slab selection at the showroom

Come to Tomken Rd in Mississauga and look at full slabs standing up under real light. For a large island, this step is not optional. Veining that looks subtle on a sample can read very differently across nine feet of counter.

STEP 03

Laser templating

After your cabinets are installed and levelled, we digitally template the real space. Heritage homes in Old Oakville are the reason this step exists. Century walls are almost never plumb, and a template built from the actual room prevents a visible gap behind the counter.

STEP 04

Fabrication on Italian CNC equipment

Cutting, sink and faucet cutouts, edge profiling and mitred waterfall joints all happen in our shop. We fabricate complex detailing and dry-fit it before it leaves.

STEP 05

INSTALLATION

We remove the old tops, set the new stone, seam it, and finish the connections. Most Oakville kitchens are installed in a single day. Larger multi-piece projects with waterfalls and multiple vanities occasionally run into a second.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Oakville Countertop FAQs

Do you come out to Oakville to measure?

Yes. Templating is done on-site at your home, included in the project, and scheduled once your cabinets are in and level.

Can you do a full island without a seam?

Often, yes, depending on the island length and the material. Some quartz lines are produced in jumbo slab sizes that cover most Oakville islands in one piece. We will tell you at the quoting stage whether a seam is unavoidable and exactly where it would fall.

How much stone do I need for a waterfall island?

More than most people expect, because the legs are cut from the same slab and the veining has to be mitred to run continuously over the edge. It typically adds material and fabrication time, so it is worth deciding early.

My house is close to a hundred years old, and nothing is straight. Is that a problem?

No. It is normal in Old Oakville, and the laser template accounts for it. We scribe the stone to the actual wall line rather than assuming a square corner.

Can you match a countertop to cabinetry I have already chosen?

Yes. Bring the door sample or the paint code to the showroom, and we will pull slabs against it in person. Screens misrepresent stone colour badly.

Do you handle the sink and faucet cutouts?

Yes, we do all cutouts in our shop as part of fabrication. Bring us the sink and faucet specs, or the sink itself for an undermount, before templating.
